AI Sales jobs
Selling AI in 2026 means selling to buyers who already ran a pilot and got burned: procurement arrives with eval criteria, security questionnaires mention prompt injection, and “we have a model for that” impresses nobody. Account executives win on use-case fluency — knowing which workflow the product actually fixes and what that fix is worth.
The interesting wrinkle is usage-based pricing, which turns every deal into a forecasting exercise and makes expansion revenue the real quota. Backgrounds from data infrastructure or developer-tools sales transfer best. OTE splits look familiar, territories are remote by default, and ramp is faster at companies whose product actually retains.
