AI Product jobs

AI product management is the discipline of shipping software that is probabilistic on purpose: scoping what a model can do reliably, deciding what happens when it can't, and killing the demo that won't survive contact with users. Titles range from AI Product Manager to plain Product Manager at companies where everything touches a model anyway.

The role now assumes real technical fluency — reading an eval report unaided, iterating on prompts yourself, arguing about latency and token budgets with a straight face. Remote positions are common at AI-native startups and scarcer at large companies retrofitting AI into older product lines. Salary transparency is roughly a coin flip.
